SZ/SZ II and FG/FG-X Falcon engines feature the Barra 195 engine, the last naturally aspirated I6 engine. The engine is upgraded from its predecessor with a plastic intake manifold and throttle body (replacing the original broadband intake manifold found on the naturally aspirated Falcon) as well as a redesigned cylinder head with Fast Burn swirl changes to the inlet port. Power and economy were improved over the Barra 190 due to these changes. In addition, the engine was moved to a rear sump design to accommodate the new FG Falcon subframe.
